Maria Eugenia Levallois
International dancer, graduated from the Arabian Dance School of Amir Thaleb and the Academy of Arabian Dances of Romina Mustone.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Eugenia showed a passion for dancing ever since she was a little girl, marveling those around her with her talented performances.
At 17 she discovered the Arabian dance and began her training in a dance school near her home. Sometime later she continued her studies in the Arabian Dance School under the direction of the world-wide known teacher and dancer, Amir Thaleb .
It was there that she met Romina Mustone, a dancer in the Arabian Dance Company, who also ran her own academy. So Eugenia decided to join Romina’s classes without leaving her studies in the Arabian Dance School.
She graduated in 2007 as Arabian Dance Teacher and in 2010 she completed her studies with Amir Thaleb.
Along her career she has attended numerous workshops and trained extensively with great teachers and dancers, such as:
Sarat ( Argentina), Hayat el Helwa (Brazil), Virginia (US), Jillina (US), Shanan (Argentina), Yousef Constantino (Argentina), Horacio and Beata Cifuentes ( Germany), YaelTorchinsky ( Argentina), Meera (India), Randa Kamel (Egypt), Mohamed Kazafy ( Egypt), YousrySharif ( Egypt), Mariel Sitka in Reda Technique ( Argentina), Yamil Annun ( Argentina), among others.
She has improved her Egyptian Technique with the prestigious dancer Maiada.
She has attended workshops on Contemporary Dances in IUNA (National University Institute of Art, Argentina) and Jazz Dance under the supervision of the famous choreographer Enrique Sapia.
In 2011 she was invited by dancer Jonathan Palermo to join his Ballet “Isadaj Troupe” with whom she performed on renowned stages of the Province of Buenos Aires, such as Auditorio San Rafael, Teatro Margarita Xirgu as well as in the provinces of Neuquén and Entre Ríos.
In 2012 she participated in the tribute to singer Tony Mouzayeck, organized by Maged Almasry in Teatro IFT, Buenos Aires.
She has performed with great musicians: Mario Kirlis, Armen Kusikian Orchestra, Horus Arab Music, Amal Orchestra, among others.
In 2015 she toured internationally and danced in El Cairo , Egypt, on one of the greatest stages of the world, the Raqs of Course Festival of Randa Kamel.
While on this tour, she attended workshops with Tito Seif, Mohamed Shanin, Wael Mansour, Randa Kamel, learning much more about the Egyptian culture.
Eugenia founded her own Dance School in 2002, teaching children, adolescents and adults, following a study guide according to different ages and levels.
In 2010 she and her students took part in a competition called Copa Apertura Fitness Dance, organized by L.A. Productions in the Broadway Theater, Buenos Aires ending up as finalists in their category.
Since 2018, Eugenia has been teaching in the United States, her current place of residence. She has taken her dance to California teaching classes in cities of Silicon Valley like San Mateo, Mountain View and Sunnyvale, as well as workshops in the city of San Francisco.
In 2020, she was a founding member of the team of BELLYDANCE SUMMIT, an international online workshop with two successful editions, with more than 100 students online and more than 13 countries participating.
At present, Eugenia continues her work as a teacher in the state of Florida, United States. She also leads seminars in different institutions and is constantly called to examine at schools.
She defines herself as “a passionate dancer who can’t imagine life without dancing”.
